Remembering Andrew
I'm sorry for being slow to write this, but I want to thank everyone for the kindness over the past 10 days or so. It's a bit of an emotional roller coaster having my wedding anniversary, birthday, and the anniversary of my son's passing all in the span of 5 days.
Summer Off to a Great Start
Thank you to our sponsors and everyone who joined us, near and far, for our 20th Annual B+ 5k Run/Walk. It was a HUGE success! We had about 1,750 people and raised nearly $150,000!!!
Opening Doors
For years, I’ve said that we have a very compelling story and mission…we just need doors opened for us. Last Friday night in Calabasas, CA, Tony & Lindsay opened those doors for us by hosting a B+ fundraiser in their home with over 80 of their closest friends.
So Much Going On
Can you imagine riding 4,000 miles across the country??? That’s exactly what the Illini 4000 group from the University of Illinois does every year.
Fun Weekend FTK!
This weekend was another great example that you can have a lot of fun while helping a good cause. By the way, FTK is “For the Kids”. Last Friday night, our BePosNYC group organized their annual Gala in Long Island City (Queens).

As I mentioned last week, this year’s B+ 5k Run/Walk is VERY important to me and my family. We want to bring out a massive crowd to show that Andrew is not forgotten at the event at his school.
20th ANNUAL B+ 5k RUN/WALK!
I cannot believe that this year’s June 17th B+ 5k Run/Walk will be our 20th!!! Since that first B+ 5k, while we were still in the hospital with Andrew, The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation has become the largest provider of financial assistance to families of kids with cancer in the country!
I Hate This Day
On this day in 2007, this is what my family looked like. While we had challenges like everyone else, I would honestly say that I had my idea of a perfect life.
2025 Year in Review

Andrew’s Birthday
Last Wednesday was Andrew’s 33rd birthday. Thank you to everyone who posted nice notes and donated to the Andrew’s Birthday campaign.

Emotional Weekend
It was a VERY busy and emotional weekend! On Saturday, the students of New York University turned out for NYDM and on Sunday, our flagship event at the University of Delaware was a huge success!

Because our mission is to help ALL kids with cancer, you may have noticed that I never address partisan issues like politics, religion, sports, etc. Please allow me this indulgence as I celebrate the Eagles Super Bowl victory with a couple of pictures of Andrew at an Eagles game back at Veteran’s Stadium.
Forever Changed
January 29th never used to mean anything to me. That is until 2007. It was on that day that my family would forever be changed…and certainly not for the better. Just two days earlier, my 14-year-old son helped lead his travel soccer team to a Pennsylvania State Championship.
