Can You Help Aubree?

B+ Hero Aubree

“Dear Be Positive,

My family and I thank you from the bottom of our heart for the generous donation! We are so grateful as it helps us tremendously. To say that the past year in a half has been difficult would be an understatement. Our beautiful daughter Aubree just turned 1 year old and she was diagnosed at only 5 weeks old. She is a beautiful blessing, and so full of happiness and joy! She is truly the light in our life!  We deeply appreciate what you have done for us!”

B+ Hero Steven

“First of all, I'd like to express my condolences about your son Andrew. I appreciate that you have shared that tender information with me. May his memory always be a blessing to you, your family, and the many people he touched. Your foundation is an amazing and enduring way to honor him and we are so very appreciative to be a part of his legacy.

You stated it really well in your email about how your support is a way to let us know that people care. As we are "new" to the cancer journey (our son was diagnosed mid-January of this year), we appreciate all of the support we can get, financial and otherwise. Thank you for adding us to your prayer list. Everyone around us is rooting for Steven and our family and we are so grateful to the B+ Foundation for its generosity. Believe me, it helps a lot!

We adopted our son from foster care in 2021. As you can probably surmise, he has not had an easy life. However, he has done remarkably well by anyone's measure. Before his diagnosis some of his accomplishments included...Straight A student, Baseball Team, Summer Camp Counselor, Cadet in a Police and Fire Training Academy, Volunteer Sunday School Teacher, and the list goes on. He is a lover of skateboards, video games, and legos and a wonderful and loving brother to his three siblings. When he was diagnosed in January, we thought "hasn't he already been through enough?" Now, our fervent desire is to add "Cancer Survivor" to his list of accomplishments.

Thank you so much for your support. We are eternally grateful to you, your staff, and of course, your son's memory embodied in the B+ Foundation. May it always be a blessing.”

FC Delco Players Cup

Ever since Andrew went to Heaven in 2007, his travel soccer club – FC Delco (PA) --  has honored him at their big Memorial Day tournament. When I say that it is a big tournament, 875 teams from across the country and Canada come to it. It’s so big that they use fields in Delaware as well as Pennsylvania. The U-14 Championship Bracket winner gets their name placed on the Andrew McDonough Cup. It means so much to me and my family that FC Delco never forgets Andrew. This year, the championship game was a phenomenal match between the Philadelphia Ukrainian Club and the New York Soccer Club. New York scored the only goal and came out on top. Congratulations to all teams and thank you FCD!
