Opening Doors
Opening Doors
For years, I’ve said that we have a very compelling story and mission…we just need doors opened for us. Last Friday night in Calabasas, CA, Tony & Lindsay opened those doors for us by hosting a B+ fundraiser in their home with over 80 of their closest friends. A lot of money was raised, but more importantly, a lot of great connections were made. A lot more people now know about Andrew and our B+ Heroes! Thank you very much Tony & Lindsay.
Keeping Andrew “Alive”
It means so much to my family and me that Andrew & Ali’s grade school alma mater, St. Mary Magdalen, continues to honor Andrew. From the sign in the gymnasium to the B+ logo on the SMM sports uniforms to the annual “Andrew McDonough B+ Award” presented each year at the Sports Banquet, Andrew is not forgotten. Last Thursday night, I had the honor of presenting the Andrew McDonough B+ Award to Casey Hamill and Finn Marley. Congratulations to all of the 8th graders and good luck in high school!
20th Annual B+ 5k - Wed. June 17th - 6:45pm - Salesianum
Yes, another plug for the 5k, but you’re almost in the clear. Only 8 days left until our 20th Annual B+ 5k Run/Walk at Salesianum. Pre-registration closes on Sunday, June 14th at 6pm. You are still welcome to join us as a walk-up registrant on the 17th, but it will cost $5 more. So, register today. There will be FREE Grotto pizza, Chick-fil-A, UDairy ice cream, soft pretzels courtesy of Tile Market, produce from Marinis and water from Elite PT. Best of all, we get to honor all of our brave, local B+ Heroes (kids with cancer) and their siblings. Looking forward to seeing you next week. If you’re not local, please feel free to join us virtually. If you are unable to join us but want to make a donation, may I suggest Ali’s “Andrew’s Angels” team. Thank you very much!!!
