Blood Cancer Heroes Award

It was with great humility and appreciation that I accepted the inaugural Blood Cancer Hero Award on behalf of my family. This award, presented last Friday night in Orlando, FL is presented by CURE and Blood Cancer United (formerly Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). There were four winners - one for Leukemia (me) and one each for Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, and MDS. The amazing keynote speaker was author and NY Times columnist, Suleika Jaouad. Suleika has had 2 relapses following her initial diagnosis with AML- the type of Leukemia that Andrew had. Suleika and her husband, Grammy & Academy Award winner, Jon Batiste, brought so much inspiration to the program.

B+ Hero Kylin
