Brave the Shave 2026

It’s been a busy week here at B+. We had a super UDance 2026 on Sunday, then it was off to Portland, OR for a very long day trip on Tuesday, followed by a weekend in Bismarck, ND for the 20th Annual Brave the Shave. The Brave the Shave group in North Dakota is amazing and truly a model for other communities around the country (hint, hint). This groups hosts multiple events across their state (minor league hockey game fundraiser, restaurant fundraisers, and so much more) culminating in their flagship head shaving event at the Bismarck YMCA. This year’s theme was Under the Big Top and the decorations were incredible. Kudos to Mike & Angie Eggl.

The money raised supports local families and The B+ Foundation acts as their research arm. Every year, they give us between $75,000-$150,000 to fund a research grant. If any one in other states would like to replicate their approach, please let me know and I will put you in touch with them for advice.

Starboard B+ Black Tag Auction
