You can’t watch the evening news without a story about “the bailout”. And, that’s very understandable. These are very unprecedented times in our country.
On Wed., I had the privilege of visiting with the fifth grade of North Star Elementary School in Hockessin, DE. The fifth graders are embarking on a one month fund-raiser which combines philanthropy and President Obama’s message.
Well, a little bit of history came through little old (frigid) Delaware today. Regardless of your political leaning, it was pretty cool (no pun intended) that the Obama/Biden Inaugural train came through Wilmington today.
I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year’s celebration. Personally, I’ve never really grasped the fascination with the whole New Year’s Eve madness but, to each his own.
Well, the Diamond State Classic is over and I think the “Heroes” and the girls from around the country really bonded and the feedback on this new program was excellent.
First, I have to tell you about the most amazing experience that I had last night. As you know from recent postings, we are one of the beneficiaries of the Diamond State Classic high school girls basketball tournament.
As you know, of course, I usually introduce you to brave young kids and ask you for your prayers. I’ve never asked for so much from so many people in my life.
Chris and I took a drive down to Ocean City, NJ on Saturday to see “Andrew’s Bench” on the boardwalk. As I’ve said before, Andrew LOVED monkeys/gorillas and he was a miniature golf afficionado.
I have been honored to speak to a lot of great people at great organizations all around the tri-state area. While they are all special in their own way, yesterday’s speaking engagement was very unique.
