Family Assistance

I want you to see what you enable us to do. The picture below is one week’s worth of Family Assistance Program checks. These checks will prevent a family from being evicted, help them repair their car so that they can get to the child’s appointments, buy medicine and critical medical devices, keep the electricity on in their home, assist with funeral expenses, and so much more! Buy lessening the financial burden, we’re allowing the family to focus on what is truly most important - the life or death battle of their precious little boy or girl. These checks are more than just money - this assistance is a lifeline that shows that someone ‘out there’ cares. It’s HOPE!!! And, I know from firsthand experience in the hospital with Andrew, you have to have hope. By the way, the money in these envelopes totals over $125,000…and this is what we do every single week of the year.

“My husband and I would like to say thank you to The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation and all of its donors for helping us during this difficult time. Our 12 year old daughter Ava is an identical twin to Anna and younger sister to Bryson (21). Ava was diagnosed in June with Tcell Leukemia. We have had to make many life changes very quickly. Ava has been doing very well with her treatments. Ava and Anna have also begun homeschooling for their 7th grade year due to her immune system and infusion schedule and Bryson is back at the Citadel for his senior year of college. Many new changes in our family are taking place that everyone is handling in stride.

I am attaching a picture of us during the summer before her diagnosis. Ava is the twin on the left.

After her diagnosis all of us girls buzzed and bleached our hair to help in Ava’s hair loss transition. I’m also attaching a picture from a few days ago. She is still the twin on the left. Thank you for all that you do!!
