Accelerating Childhood Cancer Treatments
B+ Hero Reid
“Thank you so much for supporting Reid and our family!!! This grant will help us so much with our ongoing expenses as we travel back and forth to Lurie Children’s Hospital for the next year. Reid will be navigating 12 more months of chemotherapy and your support keeps us going!! Thank you from our entire family!”

“Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. I want to take a moment and extend my hand to you and Andrew and send my condolences. You two are both warriors and may my prayers be with you. (If your not religious I am sorry no mean to offend) and although you may be right about this not making better but your also 100% right on it definitely helping.. we have been struggling to make ends meets and we use the car for all our chemo appointments and surgeries 1 and half away in Boston and the car is my son’s life line pretty much so you have no idea how much stressed you relieve off me for the next couple months with no having to worry about it getting canceled. I just received a cancellation notice and between living in a one bedroom apartment and trying to make ends meets this. This is the first year we couldn’t really do Christmas and having trouble financially is very mentally draining and makes you feel like your doing something wrong and I just wanna be able to be with my son.. your help, helps us so much you don’t understand. I would love to have my son make a video and I will also write something as well . Thank you so much for all you help because it does go far.. This email just made my whole morning and definitely relieved some stress and now I can focus more on my son and just try to enjoy the holidays.”
“ACCELERATE” Research Conference
I had the pleasure of attending the ACCELERATE research conference last week in Brussels. As you may recall, The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation is the primary funder of ACCELERATE. ACCELERATE is a unique, multi-stakeholder organization made up of Academics (investigators), Advocates (charities), Industry (pharma/biotechs), and Regulators (EMA, FDA). We had over 200 attendees from dozens of countries. Making inroads in childhood cancer treatments knows no geographic boundaries and requires collaboration. We are proud to be at the forefront of this.
Make it a great week.
