About Event
The Ausangate Trek and Sun Gate to Machu Picchu journey is the adventure of a lifetime, an unforgettable experience that combines the raw beauty of the Andes with the rich history of the Inca Trail. Traveling amongst these immense Andean giant mountains, we find ourselves mostly alone, except for our access to and connection with the indigenous population. This is what makes this trek a substantive one; the people and community overwhelm us with their kindness and grace and our passionate, knowledgeable guiding staff educate us on the ways of these remote communities. Over 11 days, supporters will trek through Rainbow Mountain, cross breathtaking high passes over 16,000 feet, soak in remote hot springs, and ultimately arrive at the awe-inspiring Sun Gate overlooking Machu Picchu.
